Brenna Yellowthunder, (née Two Bears) is BitterWater Clan born for Warrior Clan. Their maternal grandfather is Red Running Through the Water Clan, and their paternal grandfather is Standing Rock Sioux. In these ways, they are a Ho-Chunk, Navajo, and Standing Rock person.

Brenna is an award-winning writer and water defender from Flagstaff, AZ and Black River Falls, WI. They are an enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation. Currently, they work at the Indigenous Environmental Network as a Lead Coordinator for the Keep It In The Ground program.
